featuring Jeremy Woolstenhulme

Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st
at Lawrence High School, Lawrence KS

Jeremy Woolstenhulme holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Brigham Young University and a Master of Arts in Cello Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

He currently serves as the orchestra director at Northview High School in the Fulton County School District (Georgia), where he leads four orchestras. Under his direction, the Northview Chamber Orchestra earned first place at the 2025 ASTA National Orchestra Festival, was invited to perform at the 2024 Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Conference, and appeared at the prestigious Midwest Clinic in 2022.

An accomplished cellist, Mr. Woolstenhulme is the principal cellist of the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra. Prior to relocating to Georgia, he performed for two decades with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and regularly appeared with renowned artists and entertainers on the Las Vegas Strip.

Before his move in 2020, Mr. Woolstenhulme spent 17 years as orchestra director at Hyde Park Middle School in Las Vegas, Nevada. His award-winning ensembles performed at the Midwest Clinic and ASTA National Conference, earning first place at the ASTA National Orchestra Festival in both 2015 and 2019. He also led student tours across the United States and Europe, founded the Las Vegas String Workshop (a weeklong summer camp for young string players), and conducted the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras.

As a published and commissioned composer, Mr. Woolstenhulme has an extensive catalog of original and arranged works performed worldwide. His music is frequently selected as a J.W. Pepper Editors’ Choice and appears on many state festival repertoire lists. He is co-author of the widely used String Basics series (Books 1–3) and the creator of instructional supplements such as Vibrato Basics, Intonation Basics, and numerous performance collections. His compositions are designed to teach, challenge, and inspire.  They are especially tailored for middle and high school orchestras.
